Ideally you’ll be able to find a steam mop with a water tank that will need as little refilling as possible, while still giving a strong steam to clean and sanitise your floors smoothly.

The last thing you need is to find out that you’ve invested in a steam cleaner that doesn’t work the way you need it to!

Our in-depth review of the HAAN SI-60 Select Multi-Level Steamer will give you all you need to know, so you have all the research needed conveniently on one page.

What We Love

The easy to assemble, sleek and functional design of the HAAN SI-60 allows for a lightweight steam cleaner, with a telescopic handle that can easily glide along your tiles, marble, hardwood, and laminate floors.

The included carpet glide is perfect for carpeted floors that need more than a quick vacuum. With two steam sanitation settings available for varied levels of control for a deeper clean, along with a fast heat and dry time, the steam mop offers a great clean!

For anyone who has a lot of floor space to steam clean, there is a 25 foot long cord which should easily access a lot of spaces other steamers might not be able to reach, without unplugging to go to a different outlet.

A removable water tank means that the entire steamer doesn’t need to travel with you when the tank needs to be topped up. While cleaning, you can steam, deodorise, and sanitise your floors without the use of chemicals, and giving a streak-free finish.

The swivel head will give you easy access along walls, and in corners, to clean up as much as possible. The 15 steam jets evenly disperse steam from different angles, to cover a wide area, allowing for a faster clean.

What We Don't Love

Though the HAAN SI-60 cleans really well, there is still a bit of scrubbing that will need to be done for those tough dirt stains. The microfibre pads are also not going to do well when they become wet. That is why HAAN suggests removing the pads every 10 minutes or so to wash the wet pad, and clean with the other.

If the pad is wet and you continue to clean with it, then it may be difficult to push through your floor. However, this also means that you may need to purchase an extra set of pads if you’re expecting a 20-30 minute window to clean your home.

The steam mop is very lightweight -which is especially convenient for those who don’t want to push a heavy steamer around their home -however, the body is a little too light, as it doesn’t stand up on its own without leaning against something.

The Verdict

Who Needs This?

An average sized home that needs a general clean will have everything it needs from the HAAN SI-60. It heats up in seconds, has a great power of steam, and two control levels to get the best clean your floors require.

There is enough power, and capacity, to sanitise your floors, without needing to go over the same spot over and over again, or refill the water tank. The steamer’s body is lightweight, which makes it very easy to glide along your floors with, and it also won’t get stuck on your carpet when using the carpet glider.

Who Would Want Something Else?

Those with children, pets, or any other means of consistent, grimy, dirt entering their homes, and getting stuck on floors may want to consider looking at a different steam mop.

A deep clean, or a large home, will require multiple pad reattachments, and strokes, while cleaning your home, which can be inconvenient. If this sounds like you, go for the Haan SS20!

If you have a big home, with lots and lots of floor space, that tends to accumulate tough to remove dirt, then this might not be the steam mop for you (Unless, of course, you don’t mind scrubbing your floors with most of your strength, and changing the microfibre pads between each use)

However, if you are looking for an average, not-super-deep, clean throughout your home, then there is no reason not to buy the HAAN SI-60. It is durable, lightweight, and will clean your home without the constant need to refill, or re-plug, your steamer!

A Great all rounder steam mop, that has raving positive reviews online – light, portable and gets the job done. 4 out of 5 Stars!
